I already have two PS3 (60gig) because I have two HDTVs. When I bought the second one, I already wanted another bluray player. And the PS3 at the time was the best deal. And guess what, for $299, if I buy a third HDTV, there's a big chance that you'll find another PS3 under it : ). The second one almost only play PSN games (free copy, same account), BluRay, and internet surfing. I think I played about 3 BluRay games on it. Still a better deal than just a plain Bluray player.

It's even a bit strange... Little cover under the PS3slim. Remove one screw. Remove main cover for the drive, right in front. Then remove one screw holding drive. Finally remove drive.

Personally, kind of like the original way better. One cover, one screw, and it's out.

This was not expected at E3. It also became my favorite game showed as well right away. I love those games because pretty much anybody who visit you can play right away and be good. A must for any game library no matter what. Day 1 for me at E3, preorder from now on : )

Wow, apart from the video in the tvs, this could easily be made into a level for LBP. (In fact, they not only used the song, but the whole feeling about it, so it's making it very easy for anybody to make a level out of it). So watch youtube, it should be there shortly : )

Well, there's been smoke for 1.5 years already and no fire. It's very simple: Forget the smoke, and wait simply wait until the fire is out. 52 weeks in a year, 52 articles about the PS3 slim coming out. Easy isn't it?

Manufacturing cost: $240
Storage, shipping, etc: $20
Sony making a profit: $45
Retailer making a profit: $45

End result: $350 on the shelves. Good news is Sony would be making money out of each PS3 sold, so possibly more money sent back to make games.

And remember, all those guys are mostly number crusher, not programmers. The art director may be missed a bit, but again, it's easy to assume that most of the art guidelines are already done.

For me, it's probably a good news. Those guys were not happy with their salary and whatever cut they were getting on the game. Now, if they had any doubt that this game would suck, they would not have formed a new company since their product will be associated to this game (if it suck, their...

First picture in the article: PS3 (The King of Fighters XII)
Number of titles for PS3-3 360-3 Wii-7 DS-10
Biggest title in that list: Wii Sports Resort

So out of 23 titles, with 10 DS titles alone, you picked the second 360 title which happen to be The King of Fighters XII... Let me guess, you own a 360 and will be buying it?

Put everything in perspective doesn't it? There's people arguing about a missing pixel, or shadow, or line. While other do what they have to to play and surely enjoy their games.

Surely make me feel extremely lucky too.

Played Fallout on PC and WoW is her fav game. Cool girl for sure! Even if she's "working" for Sony, she's not affraid to say she love games on PC...

Simple... I've played pretty much all the shooters, and still enjoy Counterstrike the most. Basically, the only thing that could get me exited today is playing online with 255 other live players. Crossing fingers that the experience will be great (and I trust the devs for that). Otherwise, back to CS : )

"Microsoft managed to show titles running on their platform such as Splinter Cell, Forza 3, and Final Fantasy 13."

Those games use multiple DVDs. Dang, they even manage to pull the trick on a racing game like Forza... Not bad I would say. And since Microsoft no longer overcharge for multiple DVD games, I think it's a big clue too. Not such a big deal overall. Just have to sit closer to the box.

Microsoft is greedy, what do you expect. Sure, gold members should not be "treated" to this, but hey...

On the other side, I like those rumors...

Let me set things straight:

August: Slim PS3 is coming
September: Slim PS3 is coming
October: Slim PS3 is coming
November: Slim PS3 is coming
December: Slim PS3 is coming
Until Sony say so: Slim PS3 is coming

Barrack didn't want to say: "That means putting away your Wii" which is still technically the only console in the White House.

I would have my very own game room, and sure enough, lot's of space just for the Wii...

Heck, even if she was playing in her living room, the thing is probably big enough to put my house in!

3 platforms = competition, which mean manufacturers are keeping the price of their consoles very low (one of them is still selling below manufacturing cost while the other two have very low margin).

1 platform = no competition. A game console that would cost $250 to manufacture would likely sell for $500. A console that would cost $500 to manufacture would likely sell for $1000.

On the other side, cost of games would likely go down. But I suspect by no more than $...

They ran for 6 months straight (this project took 3.5, but they also ran other projects). And not a word about having many failures (Though, I'm suspecting that with a typical industry failure rate, they may have had to replace up to 3 of them)

Amazing since it's "only" a game console. Kudos. Those projects do show how well built the PS3 is.

Prototype (PC, 360, PS3) outselling Infamous (PS3). Wow. I'm sure nobody was expecting that!
